Week 1

We spent Christmas in Indiana with Rob's family. They literally live in a log cabin in the woods. They have a beautiful property and I took advantage of some neat winter scenes outside their house one afternoon.

This photograph I converted to black and white to really highlight the detail of the spiderweb like delicacy of the frozen flower.

I found this frozen hydrangea in the snow next to their pond beautiful. Hydrangea's are one of my favorite flowers and in this winter snow it still holds a beauty.

The birds nice and plump for the winter enjoyed feasting in the bird feeder located right outside the back windows.

Introduction

Rob and I just invested in our first really nice camera...a Nikon D3100. We have a mutual love of photography and hope to start learning more about photography and taking some really neat photographs. I wanted to start a blog where I could document my photography endeavors for a year...but I wanted to wait until I had a nice camera to do it with! Well, now I have the camera so I can start this blog!

I am looking forward to capturing a years worth of photography with my goal being one picture a week. I bet it'll be an interesting but challenging journey but I (think) I'm up for it! The graphic above I designed today in Adobe Photoshop specifically for this blog I am titling "Amanda's Project 52".
